Meet Mesa.  Her beautiful and unique coloring and bright yellow eyes will remind you of a desert sunrise, with gray tabby stripes highlighted by orange stripes.  This little girl has all the energy and playfulness of a bright sunrise but will love to cuddle when the mood suits her.  Mesa and her Mother once lived under a kind woman’s garden shed. The kind woman wanted to keep Mesa’s mother and bring her inside but Mother cat had spent too much time living outdoors and couldn’t be coaxed in. She was extremely frightened and shy of people. The kind woman wanted her tiny kitten, Mesa , to have the warmth and comfort of an indoor home so she asked a Heartland volunteer to help Mesa.  The volunteer coaxed Mesa out and brought her to a safe and comfortable home to live.

Mesa has been living happily with a room full of boy kitties and rules the room!  She loves her Fancy feast and foster mom, but Mesa needs a real home of her own.  Although shy at first, Mesa will warm up to you when she is given the time and will gently cuddle up to your neck and hair.  She would benefit by being with another friendly kitty to feel secure and playfully dash around the house.  Mesa would love a family she could grow old with.  Mesa is up to date on vaccines and tested neg. for Fiv/Felk.  DOB 3/17/10
