This pretty dilute tortie girl with the big green eyes is Mena.  She was rescued from a high-kill shelter a day before she was to be euthanized.  She was in rough shape when we got her – she had a nasty eye infection and was suffering from a bad upper respiratory virus.  After some good meds, food in her tummy and lots of TLC, Mena recovered and has been doing great in her foster home!  She is a very petite girl and only weighs about 6-7 lbs.  Her small size does not match her big personality – she rules the roost at her foster home!  She is very inquisitive and energetic and demands attention from her humans when she wants it.  She has a very loud meow and mainly uses it when she wants her canned food treats.  Mena is very sweet and loves affection and cuddling.  Her purr is almost as loud as her meow, which is pretty funny considering how small she is.

She does pretty well with other cats once she has been properly introduced, but she can be a bit bossy when it comes to sharing food with them.  She likes to play with other kitties on her terms and will let them know if she’s had enough, but she’s not aggressive about it, just vocal.  Mena would do great as an only kitty or in a home with one or two other laid-back cats.  She may do okay with a cat-friendly dog after a slow introduction.  Mena has been spayed, is microchipped, current on vaccinations and tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV – DOB 3/20/13, tag # 8800JB
