Miss Lily is such a sweetheart!  She came to us from a high-kill shelter near Hannibal and was so grateful to be saved.  We don’t know much about Lily’s history other than she had owners who gave her and her sister up to the pound because they were moving and did not want the burden of having pets.  Sadly, her sister was not as fortunate and was put down at the shelter before she could be rescued.  Poor Lily must have been so upset to lose the only family member that she had left, but she hasn’t let that get her down and immediately integrated well into her foster home.

She is such a happy girl – always talking and wanting to be near you for cuddles and pet time.  She is also a chatty girl too and likes to tell you all about her day.  When she wants attention, she will gently tap your arm with her paw and will meow at you, pleading for affection.  She is a very easy foster kitty and has perfect manners.  She does like to play, but snuggle time is her favorite and she gives the best kitty kisses!  Lily does fine with other cats but is pretty submissive, so she would do best in a home with a laid-back kitty who will not bully her.  A cat-friendly dog may be okay once she has been properly introduced.  Lily would also do just fine with kids as she would soak up all of the attention that they would give her.  Lily has been spayed, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, is current on vaccinations and is microchipped – DOB 3/29/10, tag # 8281JB
