This cutie patootie Lynx-point Siamese mix is Kringle.  He was left abandoned in a carrier overnight during a winter storm at the O’Fallon Petsmart.  When the groomers showed up for work the next morning, they were shocked to find him practically frozen to death.  They immediately rushed him to their vet to be treated and cared for.  Upon further inspection, they noticed that his eyes were glued shut and he was suffering from a horrible upper respiratory infection.  They contacted us immediately and without hesitation, we agreed to take him.  Once he was nursed back to health, we discovered that Kringle had what’s called “entropic eyelids”, which means his eyelids and lashes were curling inwards into his eyes and causing irritation.  This can be very painful and the only way to remedy the situation is through surgery, which is exactly what we did for him.  Kringle pulled through like a champ and was adopted by a very nice family shortly thereafter.  Sadly, the family lost their home due to financial hardships a couple of years later, so Kringle came back to Heartland once again.  He recently had to have another surgery to correct a prolapsed gland of the third eyelid (also called “cherry eye”) and remove some additional skin from his eyelids.  Not many kitties can say that they have had not one, but two eye lift surgeries!  With that being said, our vet is confident that this should resolve his problems long-term and no additional treatment should be needed.  He does have some minor scarring on his corneas but he can see and get around just fine.

Kringle is a happy-go-lucky cat with personality galore.  He LOVES people and wants to be near them as much as possible.  He doesn’t mind being held for short periods of time and he enjoys laying next to you for quality petting time and tummy rubs.  Kringle enjoys playing but is past the obnoxious kitten stage, which means that he’s the perfect mix of affectionate and playful.  He does great with other cats and doesn’t mind cat-friendly dogs either.  Kids are no problem for this laid-back guy.  Kringle is neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, microchipped and current on vaccinations – he is roughly 5 yrs old, tag # 5205JB.  If you are looking for an easy-going, affectionate and all-around great cat, then look no further because Kringle is the one for you!
