Drake was picked up as a stray in my niece’s back yard.  She texted me a picture and took him into her garage for safe keeping on a cold winters night.  He had been beat up pretty bad, we have no idea by what; and was starving, cold, and lost.  We checked him over the next day and got him into the vet right away.  Drake is FIV positive but otherwise healthy.  He has no symptoms of FIV and can carry the virus but not suffer from it.  This is one big boy!  He can gobble up a can of food in what seems like a couple of seconds, he does prefer chicken or turkey thank you very much; and no fish at all whatsoever!!

He is not tall, just wide and thick with hugs legs and paws (a bulldog)!  He does like brushing but can nip if over stimulated, so I watch his body language; he likes his head and cheeks and ears scratched very much indeed.  Quite a bit of scratching was going on while he was healing and we were scratching off scabs from his wounds!  Drake earned his name due his meow, he sounded like a duck calling for his mate!  Now that he is neutered he is much quieter though, and I am thankful for that!  Drake is about three years old, neutered, up to date on kitty shots, negative for FeLV, positive for FIV, treated for parasites, and micro chipped.  Drake is Heartland #9256CL
