This big hunk of love is Claude.  He came to use from a high-kill shelter near Bowling Green, MO.  When we heard that he only had days left on death row, we just knew that we just had to save him.  We are so thankful that we did too because he is one cool cat!  Claude is so easy-going and loveable and has a wonderful disposition about him.  He is always purring and “making biscuits” (kneading his paws) to let you know how happy he is.  He also gives gentle nose nuzzles and enjoys hanging out with his humans (he is quite the couch potato).  He can be a bit shy at first in new settings, but he settles in quickly and has very good household manners.  He is quite playful too and loves to romp around the house and chase his toys.

Claude can be a bit selective about his feline companions.  He does great with kittens and likes to cuddle with them and engage them in play.  However, he can be a bully towards adult cats at times, especially larger male cats or submissive, fearful kitties.  He would do best as a single cat or with a laid-back kitty that isn’t intimidated by his size and will play with him.  He should do okay with a cat-friendly dog once he has been properly introduced.  Kids are just fine for this mellow guy as he would enjoy the extra attention and snuggling.  He is neutered, had a complete dental cleaning in November, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, micro-chipped and up-to-date on shots.  DOB 11/2009, tag # 8166JB.  Claude would love to be a loyal companion and lap warmer for his very own family so if you adopt him, you won’t be disappointed!
