This adorable duo is Carter and Trevor; two brothers who were lucky enough to be rescued when they were just tiny little kittens.  Thanks to the kind efforts of two amazing volunteers with St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach (STLFCO), both boys were plucked from the streets of St. Louis after they were found hiding in the bushes with terrible upper respiratory infections.  To say that they were sickly is an understatement.  As you can see from their “before picture”, both boys had horrible eye infections.  In fact, Carter’s infection was so bad that we were sure that he would lose his eye.  Fortunately, they were found just in the nick of time and the lovely ladies of STLFCO immediately got them started on medication to treat their illness.  After some much needed TLC and lots of warm food in their bellies, the boys made a full recovery and were then sent to live in their current Heartland foster home.  Carter is the handsome buff tabby and is the more outgoing of the two.  He has an instant purr-machine and his motor starts running the minute that you pet him.  He often follows his foster mom around the house and is usually the first one in her lap the moment she sits down.  Trevor is the gorgeous smoke gray kitty with big green eyes.  He is a bit more shy than his brother, but is just as sweet and craves attention and affection once he establishes trust with you.

Carter and Trevor are typical kittens – playful, curious, and quite adorable.  They do really well with other cats so it is preferred that they either go to a home together or one with another friendly kitty companion.  A cat-friendly dog may be okay once they have been properly acclimated.  Older children are just fine, but both boys may require a brief adjustment period to get used to their new surroundings.  However, they are wonderful kitties and would make a great addition to just about any family.  Both boys are neutered, current on vaccinations, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV and microchipped.  DOB 3/23/13 – tag #’s 8793JB (Carter) and 8795 (Trevor).
