Ahmali (pronounced AH MAA LEE) is a 1 year old, extra soft, short-haired, gray and white female.  She has one of the softest coats I’ve ever felt.   Her family was rescued outside a motel in Caseyville, IL last June during one of those 100+ degree days.  Her very pregnant mom, dad, and brother were all rescued within a couple of days of each other. Her sister took longer but was eventually rescued.  Her dad was feral and went to a barn and the rest of the family came to Heartland.   Her brother was the first one adopted.  She remains along with her sister and mom.  Her mom gave birth to 10 kittens two weeks after I got her.

Ahmali is a very shy kitty and would do better in quieter household possibly with older children.  She does not like to be picked up.  She does enjoy petting and will let me come to her to pet her or seek me to be petted.  I believe after some time and work with her new home she will come out of her shell but will most likely always be a shy kitty.  She will hide at loud noises and unfamiliar sounds and people.  She likes to play with toys, especially the laser pointer and enjoys looking out the window.  Ahmali has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on her shots, dewormed and tested negative for FELV and FIV.  Tag#  JAK
